Embers is the fireplace store Nashville homeowners and builders have used for 20+ years. Our Brentwood showroom has the largest selection of fireplaces in Middle Tennessee burning on the floor — gas, electric and wood-burning fireplaces, inserts for old masonry hearths, gas log sets, fireplace doors and outdoor fireplaces. Our own installation team, led by a gas-licensed master installer, connects and tests what we sell, and our parts counter keeps it running for years afterward. Come see the flame before you buy.

Direct vent gas fireplaces

Sealed combustion, outside air in and exhaust out through one pipe — indoor air stays clean and efficiency is highest. The standard choice for new builds and remodels in Brentwood and Franklin. Linear, traditional and see-through models from White Mountain Hearth, Astria, Superior and Montigo.

Vent-free gas fireplaces and gas logs

No chimney, no vent pipe, so they go almost anywhere and cost the least to install. Sized to the room under Tennessee code. The fastest way to add real heat to a den, basement or covered porch — and gas log sets bring an existing fireplace back to life in an afternoon.

Wood-burning fireplaces, stoves and inserts

For the crackle and the smell. High-efficiency wood fireplaces and EPA-certified stoves and inserts from Lennox IronStrike and Superior heat far more than an open hearth. Bring your firebox measurements; most masonry fireplaces accept an insert.

Electric fireplaces

Dimplex linear and built-in electric units for condos, bedrooms, offices and anywhere without a gas line. Plug-in or hardwired, flame with or without heat, and the easiest installation of all.

See Them Burning in Our Brentwood Showroom

Photos do not show flame height, heat or how a linear unit looks from across the room. At 7114 Moores Lane, Brentwood, TN 37027 you can stand in front of dozens of lit fireplaces, compare gas to electric to wood, and talk through venting with people who install them every week.

Fireplace Installation in Nashville and Williamson County

We install what we sell: gas line connection and testing, venting, framing coordination for new construction, insert fitting in existing masonry, and gas log conversions. Builders in Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville and Spring Hill use us for the fireplace package on single homes and full developments — specification during framing, one delivery, one crew. We also work with designers, project managers, contractors and property managers. Gas, wood-burning and electric units are all installed by our own team.

Fireplace Service, Parts and Repair

Pilot will not light, remote stopped working, glass fogged, blower noisy? For fireplaces purchased from Embers, most fixes are a parts order or a service call we schedule for you. Bring the model number (inside the lower louver or on the rating plate) or send a photo with the form below. We focus our service on what we sell so we can get it right the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you install the fireplaces you sell?

Yes. We install the gas, wood-burning and electric fireplaces, inserts, fireplace boxes and gas log sets we sell. Our team is led by a gas-licensed master installer with 20 years of experience, so gas units are connected and tested by us, not a third party. For new construction we coordinate framing and venting with your builder.

  • Gas, electric or wood — which fireplace is right for a Nashville home?

Gas (direct vent or vent-free) is the most popular in Middle Tennessee because it gives real heat at the push of a button. Electric fits condos, bedrooms and anywhere without a gas line. Wood-burning suits homeowners who want the crackle and have a masonry chimney or can add a chimney system. The showroom has all three burning so you can compare the flame in person.

  • What is the difference between a direct vent and a vent-free fireplace?

Direct vent units are sealed and pull combustion air from outside through a pipe, so indoor air stays untouched; they need a wall or roof penetration. Vent-free units burn so cleanly they need no vent, which makes them the easiest to place, but Tennessee code limits BTU size by room volume and they add moisture to the room. We size both types for your space.

  • Can I put a fireplace insert in my existing masonry fireplace?

Usually yes. A gas or wood insert slides into the existing firebox, uses the chimney for venting, and turns a drafty open hearth into an efficient heater. Bring the width, height and depth of your firebox opening (front and back) and a photo — we can tell you which inserts fit.

  • How much does a new fireplace cost?

Most fireplaces we sell range from about $3,000 to $20,000, depending on fuel type, size and finish. That range is for the fireplace itself; installation, venting and gas work depend on your home, so we quote each project after seeing the space or your builder's plans.

  • When should I order a fireplace for this winter?

September and October. Popular models and finishing kits run out or back-order once the first cold snap hits, and installation calendars fill fast in November. Most fireplace orders are installed about 2–4 weeks after you order, depending on the model, supplier availability and your home's readiness, so ordering in early fall gives you the best shot at being warm by Thanksgiving. Gas logs and accessories are sometimes in stock and ready to go.

  • Do you service and repair fireplaces?

Yes, for fireplaces purchased from Embers. We stand behind our work, and with 50,000+ parts and 100+ distributor relationships, most repairs — pilot assemblies, valves, remotes, glass, blowers — are one call to our Brentwood store: we order the part and schedule the tech. If your unit was bought elsewhere, we can refer you to a local technician.

  • Which fireplace brands can I see in the showroom?

White Mountain Hearth (Empire), Astria, Superior, Montigo, Dimplex, Lennox IronStrike, Vantage Hearth, Real Fyre and Everwarm gas logs, American Fyre Designs and Fire Pit Art for outdoor fire features — most of them burning on the floor at 7114 Moores Lane. Want a brand that is not on the floor? With 100+ distributor relationships we can order almost any fireplace, insert or log set.
